 D has been trying to teach the older girls how to play chess.  They are getting pretty good.

New Year's Eve 2010

 We went down to visit Grandpa and Grandma R for New Year's Eve.  We had a fun party to bring in the new year.

 Of course, there has to be some balloon popping. 

 Grandma R always puts a little something fun into her  balloons!

We (my siblings and I) did a something a little bit different this year for our parent's Christmas gift.  We want to help them finish up a project.  Since they build the house (something like 20 years ago) they have wanted a gazebo in the back yard.  We decided we would help them make their dream come true.  We all pitched in and got them a gift card to Home Depot to get some supplies and we set a date to come and help them build it.  They ended up buying a kit to build it and we came in April to help them get it done.  It turned out so nice.

Christmas Day 2010

 We had a great Christmas.  As soon as the girls came down stairs they went straight to their new pillow pets. 

 I think they were the favorite gift.  H got a lady bug.  K got a unicorn.  M got a panda bear.  A got a penguin.  They love them.

Late Night 2010

 We had the H girls over for a late night.  S and I made some wood snowmen while the girls played. 

 The girls made melted snowmen sugar cookies.

 They all turned out so cute.
