Visiting the Baby Animals

April 7, 2011  We thought it would be fun to go up to Logan,UT and visit the baby animals.  The American West Heritage Center has Baby Animal days and they have lots of farm animals and they bring in some baby black bears.  We were most excited to see the bears.
The weather wasn't too bad when we left our house, but by the time we got up their it was snowing and slushing and raining.  It was freezing, but we decided to still go and see the animals because we had driven so far to see them.
The first animals we saw were in a covered little barn thing, so it wasn't too bad looking at them.  We saw pigs, pony, and the cutest little baby goats.
 We also saw some horses.

And of course, we got to see the bears.  We had to wait for awhile to get to see them because they had taken them inside to warm them up.  We didn't get to see them playing because it was just too cold.  They were really cute though.

All the roads are dirt so we were walking through mud and slush.  It was pretty slippery and mucky!  The girls were pretty cold and miserable.  They had some fun activities going on in a barn, so we went in there for awhile and the girls colored pictures and made pinwheels and got a chance to get warmed up a bit.
We wish it had been a warmer day.  It would have been a lot more fun, but we enjoyed seeing the baby animals.  We also got to go to the cookie factory and the cheese factory while we were up there.
