My new apron...

I bought the pattern for this apron several months ago. I am finally finding the time to make it. I have been totally on a sewing kick lately and whipped it out pretty quick. I love how feminine it is. It is double sided and can be tied in the front or the back. The only problem is that is it so cute I don't want to get it dirty!
If you are interested in the pattern go here.

A few new projects....

I haven't been whipping out projects lately like I normally do, but here are a few things I have done lately.

These are some buckets I made for my nephew's room. I originally made one, but his parent's requested 3 more. They have decorated his room with fire trucks. They hung the buckets on a ladder attached to the wall to put his toys in.

I made these with my activity day girls a couple of weeks ago. The large PRAY lettering glows in the dark. This is one I made for my girl's room.

I just finished this one yesterday. It is going to go on my entry way table as soon as I remove the holiday decor.

Recent Craft Projects...

I have been doing a few craft projects lately, and thought I would post them. Here is a project we just made for our ward's enrichment night. It says "Family" on the block. It was kind of hard to take a picture of because of the glare.

I finally finished painting these frames to hang in my downstairs bathroom. I decided to put a picture of each of my girls when they were taking baths as babies...I thought that was fitting for a bathroom.

I started this stitchery several months ago and finally finished it. My husband is glad to not have it on our kitchen counter anymore.

My neighbor sells vinyl lettering from her home. I have been meaning to order a few things for a long time, and finally did it this week. This was my first project using what I ordered. I ordered several more things. I will post them when I get them finished. This is hanging in my kitchen. We have had a hard time in our house showing kindness lately, so I thought it would be a good visual reminder for us to work on being nicer.

That's all my latest projects. I am a constant crafter. It is the only way I maintain my sanity! Posted by Picasa

Hair Fuzzies....

There have been so many cute hair things going around in the blogging universe. I thought I would put on a few hair accessories that my 5-year old and I made a couple weeks ago. I am teaching a class next week in our ward on how to make these. We call them fuzzies.

To make: Take a large ponytail holder and tie 6-inch pieces of various ribbons (clip ends at an angle)around it. I like the look of using several different kinds of ribbons: sheer, crossgrain, thin, fat, etc. It takes about 24 pieces of ribbon to go around each ponytail holder. My 5-year old made the red one all by herself. They are so easy and quick and they look so cute around a ponytail. Posted by Picasa

My recent projects...

I thought I would start posting some of my projects when I get them done (don't worry, at the rate I finish projects, this won't actually be too many...I am great at starting a project, but not so great at always finishing one). Here is what I was working on for Mother's Day.

I made this for my mother. She is a FABULOUS quilter, so the instant I saw this quote I thought of her. She loves quilting (probably something she got from her mom, since my Grandma was a beautiful quilter as well). She always makes baby quilts for my babies (and all the grandbabies), she made all of her kids wedding quilts, and makes another quilt when each of the grandkids turns 8. This adds up to a LOT of quilts. Each one is beautiful and unique.

This one I made for my mother-in-law. She had the frame hanging with nothing in it in her laundry room, so I asked if I could put something in it for her for mother's day. This is the perfect quote for my mother-in-law. Her family is her greatest joy, and loves when we all come home for the holidays.

I hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day!! Posted by Picasa

Doll House Pictures.

I have finally figured out how to post pictures!!! HURRAH!!!! These are some pictures of the doll house my husband and I made for our 3 girls for Christmas. It was so fun to make. My husband made most of the tiny furniture (he can do anything!). My girls love to play Barbies and spend countless hours playing with this house. My 5 year old loves to redecorate the rooms and move the furniture all around. Posted by Picasa
