Happy Valentine's Day...
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I hope it is a great day for all of you. I thought I would make my blog a little festive for the holiday and post some of my Valentine's decorations. These ones are new things that I have made. I put some of my older decorations in the previous post (because blogger won't let me put more than 3 pictures in a post). Have a Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

Favorite Christmas Decorations Part 1...
I wanted to share some of my favorite Christmas decorations. Blogger doesn't seem to like me to post more than three pictures at a time, so I had to make two posts, so make sure you check out my previous post too.
This is a Santa that we made in R.S. one year. I love that it is big. Most of my decorations are smaller table top decorations, so it is fun to have something bigger to set on the floor.
I purchased these gingerbread men at the craft store I use to work at. I love them because they are so cute and they have glitter all over them. I usually have them on my stove top bent around a scented candle. They look like they are out having a bonfire.
This is one of the first Christmas decorations that I made. The santa is holding a chalk board that we leave various messages on or count down the days until Christmas on.

My favorite Christmas Decorations Part 2...
My good friend Becky gave me this one year for Christmas because she knows I love frogs. It says, "Kisses under the Mistletoad".
I was fortunate to work with a super creative and crafty woman in young women's a long time ago. She made this (and several other adorable decorations I have around my house). She was so talented, and I learned so much about making crafties from her.
I found this little treasure at Deseret Industries for $1.00. I don't know why anyone let this cute thing go.

Thanks for stopping by to check out a few of my decorations.

Holiday Home Tour
Nettie is having a Christmas open house. Here are a few pictures of my holiday decor. Blogger isn't liking me too much, so I was only able to post these 4 pics. I might have to put up another post with a few of my favorite holiday items that are not shown here, but that will have to wait for another day. Thanks for stopping by!
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care....At least they are really hanging this year. The first year I made them I forgot to attach loops to hang them from! I still need to embroider our names on them in gold thread...one of these days I will get around to it.
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, how lovely are your branches. We love our tree. It is so pretty and sparkly when the lights are all on at night. Note the Moroni on top!
Here is our nativity scene. We purchased it in Guatemala after haggling a guy for it. It came with an elephant, but I thought that was strange, so we talked the guy into exchanging it for an extra camel. It also came with a HUGE baby Jesus. We had him give us a smaller one that went to another set, but it was still about as big as the donkey...luckily it got broken on the way home. I found the new baby Jesus, the manger, and the sheep at a local ceramics shop.
This is our entry way table decked out in holiday decor. My husband made the table last year for me for Christmas.

Finally Content....
I am not usually like this. I usually study something out, think of all the options, and decide exactly what I want before I go and decorate something. Well my living room has been an exception. We have lived in our house for 3 1/2 years, and this was the 4th time we painted our living room. It was originally white when we bought the house and we first tried a brownish color, and I hated it. It made my beautiful bright living room seem like a cave, so we hurried (far too quickly) and painted it a green (Sage #3). It was far too lime, so we painted it again. This time a yellow-ish color (Marzipan). This color was okay and it stayed this color for a long time. Saturday we just finished painting it for the 4th and final (my husband insists on this!) time. We installed crown moulding, a chair rail, and wall frames. I am absolutely loving the new look. The new color we chose is called Rough Terrain....I would love to be the person who gets to name paint! I love the color. It matches perfectly with our sofa, and DH even likes it too. Finally, I am content and happy with my living room. Here are a few pictures ( the colors in the pictures aren't quite true to life, but you can get the idea).

Recent Craft Projects...
I have been doing a few craft projects lately, and thought I would post them. Here is a project we just made for our ward's enrichment night. It says "Family" on the block. It was kind of hard to take a picture of because of the glare.
I finally finished painting these frames to hang in my downstairs bathroom. I decided to put a picture of each of my girls when they were taking baths as babies...I thought that was fitting for a bathroom.
I started this stitchery several months ago and finally finished it. My husband is glad to not have it on our kitchen counter anymore.
My neighbor sells vinyl lettering from her home. I have been meaning to order a few things for a long time, and finally did it this week. This was my first project using what I ordered. I ordered several more things. I will post them when I get them finished. This is hanging in my kitchen. We have had a hard time in our house showing kindness lately, so I thought it would be a good visual reminder for us to work on being nicer.
That's all my latest projects. I am a constant crafter. It is the only way I maintain my sanity!

MMMMMMMMM....
Stephanie did a fun thing on her blog today. She took a letter and came up with 10 things that started with the letter and told why she came up with those things. She had some cute and funny things on her blog. She assigned me the letter M. So here are the ten things I thought of that start with that letter:
1. M******, my 5-year old. Hers is not one of the weird names Stephanie mentioned! She is such a great kid. She saves me so many times. She is a wonderful big sister and such a great help around the house. She is always willing to do what I ask her to do, and she is so creative and fun. I am lucky to be her mom.
2. Model homes. I love to tour model homes. I once thought about being a real estate agent because I love to look at homes so much, but I decided I didn't want to sell houses, just LOOK at them. A friend and I toured some yesterday. Here are a few fun shots I took while we were there.
3. Money. Okay, love of money is the root of all evil right, but it sure is fun!!! Could use a truck load at my house.
4. Melancholy. I discovered this word in college. Unfortunately, it sometimes describes my mood.
5. Mother-In-Law. My MIL is coming today, so I should really be cleaning the house and changing the sheets on her bed. I guess I will have to switch into hyper-speed after this post so I can get it all done.
6. Mushrooms. Weird little things, but so tasty. I am frying some up tonight for dinner. I fry them in butter until they are crisp and add some garlic salt and parsley (to add a little color to the drab little things). They are delicious!
7. Marla. She is the greatest friend. She lives across the street from me and I think we talk about twice a day. She keeps me sane, and inspires me to be better. Not to mention all the fun we have laughing together!
8. Marmoset. I am not sure what one of these looks like, but my husband saw one at his work yesterday, so the word was fresh in my mind.
9. "Mom". Never thought I would get tired of hearing that word, but somedays I have had enough...."MOM", "MOM!!", "MOM!!!!"
10. Mormon. Yup I am a Mormon, and pretty dang proud of it in a non-prideful sort of way. I know my life would not be so amazingly great without the gospel.
So there are my M's. If anyone is interested in doing this same thing, let me know and I will assign you a letter.

Owlhaven's Monday Challenge
Okay, is it all right to be doing a Monday challenge on a Thursday? I guess I am a little behind this week. Anyway, Owlhaven issued a challenge to take three pictures of somethings from your house that say something about you. So here are a few pictures I dug out of my archives.
This first one is a shelf my DH made for me for my birthday last year. I love him...I can dream up any idea and he will make it for me. I made the embroidered stitchery "Love is Spoken Here" sign because sometimes I forget! There is also a wedding picture of my husband and I and a picture of my DH's family taken at his youngest sister's wedding 3 years ago. The candle holders were a present from a dear friend. I love this shelf and how it is decorated because it pulls from all aspects of my life: marriage, family, friends and the gospel.
This is a picture of my bedroom. I love my bedroom. I especially love my bedding right now. Almost the first thing I do every morning is make my bed. I love to see it nice and neat when I come into my room. I made the floral arrangement over the bed. I love the touch of pink in it, and luckily my husband doesn't mind a little pink in his room. I think my room is so beautiful and I love it because it shows off my soft feminine core.
This is a picture of a decoration I made for my girl's bathroom. I love making wood crafties. This was a fun project because I got to dream up a whole new bathroom decor theme. I love dreaming up new ideas of how to decorate and change things. I made several other flowers to put around the room as well. I love the saying too, afterall, all things do grow with love. It reminds me that my girls are going to grow up so fast, so I need to give them as much love as I can right now.
Well those are a few things from my house that say a little bit about me. I love this challenge. I love to see other people's houses. Your house says so much about who you are. Thanks owlhaven!!
