My Mother's Day Gift

A few weeks ago my husband asked what I wanted for Mother's Day. I told him I wanted a vacation. So this last weekend he took two days off of work and sent me to my parents house to scrapbook while he stayed home and took care of our 3 little girls. Isn't he sweet!?! I had a great time while I was away. I got to visit with a great friend (love ya Steph!), spend time with my family, and I managed to finally scrapbook my wedding pictures after almost 9 years of marriage. And if that wasn't great enough, I came home to a clean home (done by my husband and girls), and a husband who appreciated me more. Here are a few of the pages from my wedding scrapbook. I still have more to do, but I did manage to do 24 pages on my vacation.

  1. M, these are incredible! I am so impressed by your talent! You were such a beautiful bride, and DH sure looks handsome. Who did your pictures? When I come to see you next time, I want to check out the ENTIRE album. I can't believe that you got 24 pages done. You are speedy and good.

  2. Steph: my uncle took the pictures with a 35mm camera. They were not that great. Managed to make them look pretty good though. I have so many that were just not even worth putting in the book. I enlarged several of them to use in my book. I am sending you a few of my BEAUTIFUL matron of honor!

We are going to celebrate our 10th soon and are going to take a little get away to San Fran. without our 3. I can't wait. It has been 4 years since we have taken a trip by ourselves.

  5. The look professional to me!!! I love using enlarged pictures. He did a good job, as did you. You looked so beautiful and peaceful on that day. Sigh...what a pretty bride.

By the way, is Jettara your oldest sister?

  12. I asked for the same thing for Mothers day (and my bday is this week also.) So, Saturday is my day off. I'm not getting up early with the baby. I'm not fixing breakfast, lunch or dinner. And I'm going shopping to try on jeans and swimsuits without a 2 year old opening the dressing room door repeatedly. :) Your album is beautiful!!

  16. What a wonderful gift to you!! Love the layouts. Though I must remain calm. None of our wedding pictures turned out. None. I have serious issues with that. *wink* But yours are fabulous! Kudo's to your hubby for getting you what you really wanted/needed
