WFMW: Quesedillas

When I was little we always had Quesedillas from the microwave. This made the tortilla soggy. I found another quick way to make Quesedillas, but with crispy tortillas. I make them in my waffle iron.

This is so quick and easy. Just heat up your waffle iron while you are preparing your Quesedillas and then place them into your waffle iron. Let cook until cheese starts to bubble. They are crisp, quick, and yummy! Works for me. Posted by Picasa

  6. Mmmmmmm....

We have a big old frying pan - huge - it's dead because all the nonstick stuff has worn off. But we use it for quesadillas. We put it on the stove, heat it up, throw in a quesadilla and just heat it till the cheese melts.

But I like the waffle iron idea. It would make it have a nifty texture.

Stephanie, I can't believe your kids won't eat cheese!

  7. Good idea! I've always loved cheesy tortillas. Can it also warm up my pizza without making the crust soggy? ;)

  8. Seriously, they won't eat cheese, ground beef and potatoes (what is WRONG with them?!?!)...but give them sushi, miso soup and any veggie (including lima beans and asparagus) and they are happy.

  10. What a great idea. I'll just have to get a bigger waffle iron because the tortillas are to big for mine. I guess I can throw a hint at bro since he has me for Christmas.

  12. Great idea. My mom couldn't find my skillet once when she was babysiting and used the waffle iron to make grilled cheese sandwiches! BTW, I tag you with the se7ens tag, if you want to play:).

  16. I don't have a waffle iron, but quesadillas are a staple around here. My sister-in-law uses her waffle iron also. Guess I need to get me one. Great idea!

  17. Great idea. I've done them on my stoneware pan in the oven, but this wouldn't heat the house up anywhere near as much in the summer! Thanks
